Matt Wears a Skirt and Lazuli Goes on a Spa Adventure

Well on Sunday the 15th we slept in and had french toast, courtesy of Rachel. Then we went to Meeting where Matt.......wore his longyi in public for the first time! Then he was asked to handle a microphone. I was so nervous for him I couldn't watch. I just knew it was going to fall off or something. It did NOT. Yay! I think he was glad too. Here we are! The picture you have all been waiting for!!!!!!

On the way home Rachel and I had the brilliant brainstorm to go get pedicures at a new nail shop that just opened up.  So we walked there and got our feet all beautified.

Yes, those are heart shaped tub/sinks.
I got a foot and leg massage and nail polish for 8 bucks.  My toes needed it bad too because I didn't have the right chemicals to get the Shellac off that was on before I left home.  Yes Mom, I know.  Shameless.   Plus I wear flip-flops every day.  Double shameless.  There was a sister that happened to be there that is English that speaks perfect Myanmar and she translated for me so I could explain the whole Shellac thing.  The spa ladies were pretty stymied at first when the stubborn stuff wouldn't come off!  I had 4 of em gathered around my toes.  So embarrassing.  Then they stayed for the duration of the nail polish application process.  I would have asked what they were looking at but the whole language wall thing gets in the way.  I instead tried to employ sign language.... I have gotten used to being laughed at ALOT here.  Thank goodness all of my friends and family back home have prepped me for that over the years:D  (Love you guys!)  The massage was great and we were both totally relaxed.  The spa overlooks Inya Lake.  So pretty.

After we got home we made dinner and then Matt and I spent the evening visiting with Lenny and Rachel.  We even watched a tiny bit of Gone With the Wind with the GUYS!
